Release date, information, and all we currently know about Life by You

An forthcoming highly configurable life simulation game called Life By You is expected to surpass The Sims 4 in terms of creativity. After a delay in 2023, Paradox’s sandbox universe is one of the most eagerly awaited future PC games. We can’t wait for it to come into Early Access this year.

For any lover of EA’s enduring life sim series, Life By You is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing new games of 2024 thanks to its extensive customization options, dialogue trees with actual human language instead of Simlish, and a built-in modding client.

We will soon have the opportunity to test it out for ourselves. Initially revealed during the Paradox Announcement display in March 2023, Life By You, which also confirmed the release of Cities: Skylines 2, is one of the few games comparable to The Sims 4 that can actually outperform EA at its own game. Although The Sims have long dominated the scene, this might be about to change.

Is Life By You going to rank among the greatest simulator games ever made? Everything we know about Life by You is available here, along with information on gameplay, anticipated early access release date, and other developer news.

When and where Life by You will be released

March 5, 2024 is the scheduled date of Life By You’s early access launch. In order to allow the development team to concentrate on adding additional features and graphic enhancements, the game was postponed from its planned September 12, 2023 release date.

The trailer for Life by You

We got our first proper glimpse of the open-world environment and how we can control anyone at any time with the release of the first Life by You announcement trailer, which you can see above. In addition to providing insight into customisation, character development, and many other topics, it also showcases some of the interactions that controllable humans can have. Many aspects of the game are comparable to The Sims; for example, the more airy atmosphere and the way vehicles are used to travel around (hey, skateboards!) remind me of The Sims 3.

The life simulator is anticipated to remain on Early Access for “at least 12 months” so that the developer may continue to improve and enhance the game with user feedback. Participants’ input will be gathered throughout the Early Access phase “to determine the ideas and content” that will be included in the full launch, though the timeline is subject to alter as development moves forward. On the exclusive Discord channel for Life By You, the first 100,000 Early Access players can offer comments in addition to seeing “and more” behind-the-scenes.

A wishlist of improvements that the team is currently working on exists, and includes improving and developing the world’s young characters—who haven’t been fully incorporated yet—even though many additions will be contingent on community feedback. When Life by You opens fully, early access users won’t have to repurchase the game, although saves might be affected while the developers work on adding bugs and updating features, as significant changes are anticipated during the Early Access period. Paradox promises that if anything changes that affects saves, players will be informed.

Customisation of Life by You

The level of customisation that Life by You appears to provide as a legitimate Sims competitor is what excites me about the possibilities of this game. To begin with, the new life simulation allows you to create your own human using its character builder, which offers a plethora of features that allow you to customise them to your heart’s content.

You can select their gender (including non-binary) and body type in addition to their age and life stage. In addition to designing your character’s appearance, you may also choose their personality, attributes, and backstory to help tell their tale.

Paradox is also defying EA’s PG-13 views on  and nudity; unlike The Sims 4, where characters are filtered out, the creator of Life by You is determined to go full frontal. Apparently, realistic gameplay will not require Wicked Whims or any other oriented best Sims 4 mods.

You’ll be able to construct and modify houses and companies for your manipulable folks in addition to them. In Town Creator, you may actually rearrange the entire town.
